dis_update For close friends and acquaintances, fellow DJs, performers and musicians that we have known, supported and played together in good and shitty gigs; and of course the occasional tumbled and rumbled laughs together, you would have known us pretty much inside out. For those who are new to the dis_arm bluergh eraggaghh noise or you don't have a clue as to what we are all about, well this website is another way for our wires to entangle you folks. Muahahahahhahahahahahahahhaahhhahahaha... Well, the Worms Festival 4 is up again from the good people of Plastique Kinetic Worms. Log on to Plastique Kinetic Worms website for further exploration. We collaborated with Melancholye (Nina Chabra) who takes charge of our manually laboured visuals. Much thanks to her and her eye!!!! Photographs, handheld video and Super 8 of holidays across land for the past 2 years were recorded, observed and dissected and everything will be piece together to form our interpretation of what holidays are all about. (Due to financial and time constraints, the Super 8 prints would not be used. Maybe next time. And of course, our much loved field/eavesdropping recordings of found and stolen sounds on cassette tape plus holiday field sounds recorded on micro cassette will be utilised for your listening pleasure. 
dis_clarificationYes. This will be the second time dis_arm will be performing for the Worms festival. If last year's performance was all about bending technologies to our own needs (plus introducing the world to dis_arm), then this year is all about bending technology in a playful way; not forgetting in its rawest, creative and lo-fi way. And as usual, there will be no laptop/computer sequencing going around!!! One thing to note---ŕ dis performance/ video, sound and photography installation is called Holiplay. A term coined by us to denote our well-deserved holidays as a playing time as well. Oh yes, the photo installation and the interactive sound gallery. That would be our temporary home from the 23rd-25th October . It's open from 11am-6pm.Yes yes yes, it's kinda right smack in the week and I believe you folks are working or schooling. Maybe skip off work, extend an mc, extend your lunch break or simply don't go to work or school. Just once…….. Do come down coz we have some special treats for your tired mind. Plus we'll be having jamming/interactive/splatter sessions for keen enthusiasts of sound improvisations…… so…do log on to the site for the essential details. And yesh, the final day performance...on the 26th. 7.30pm onwards. We will implode. Live electrons running around in heartwires, mangled wares and nervous keyboard playing. The speakers will speak to you.
